Atlanta, Georgia, November 1, 2025 — Atlanta officials and community leaders gathered on Saturday to celebrate the groundbreaking of Midtown’s first vertical urban farm tower, a pioneering development set to redefine sustainable living in the city. The 32-storey structure, located at the intersection of Peachtree Street and 13th Avenue, will combine 150 residential units with high-tech hydroponic agriculture across eight dedicated floors.
Mayor Andre Dickens hailed the project as “a bold step towards food security and green innovation in the heart of Atlanta.” The tower’s hydroponic systems are projected to yield over 60,000 kilograms of fresh produce annually, supplying residents and local markets with leafy greens, herbs, and tomatoes grown without soil or pesticides.
Developed by GreenRise Partners, the tower is scheduled for completion in late 2027. Residents will have access to rooftop gardens, communal kitchens, and educational workshops, fostering a vibrant, eco-conscious community in Midtown.
