This milestone arrives ahead of the full building’s spring opening, marking a key step in delivering one of the city’s most ambitious urban projects. The Sky Garden, recognised as Midtown’s largest outdoor deck, spans a full acre and offers residents and office tenants sweeping views across Atlanta’s vibrant core. Adjacent to it, the pickleball court provides a dedicated space for active recreation, overlooking the bustling neighbourhood below. These features form part of an extensive amenities package designed to foster community and well-being in a vertically integrated environment.
John Petricola, senior managing director of the southeast region at Rockefeller Group, highlighted the significance of this progress. “The completion of these standout amenities at 1072 West Peachtree underscores our commitment to creating spaces where people thrive,” Petricola said. “This tower blends exceptional design with practical enhancements that will enrich daily life for everyone who calls it home or workspace.”
The development, a joint venture involving Rockefeller Group, Taisei USA and Mitsubishi Estate New York, stands at 749 feet, positioning it as Atlanta’s fifth-tallest structure and the tallest constructed in the city in more than three decades. LEED Silver certification ensures sustainable practices throughout, from energy-efficient systems to green building materials, contributing positively to Midtown’s environmental goals.
Inside, the tower houses 357 luxury residences across upper floors, each offering panoramic city vistas. Below, eight floors deliver 224,000 square feet of modern Class A office space, tailored for contemporary work needs with collaborative areas and smart technology. Ground-level retail spans 6,300 square feet, poised to introduce diverse dining options including coffee spots, quick-service eateries and relaxed sit-down venues, further enlivening the Peachtree Street corridor.
Amenities extend far beyond the new Sky Garden and pickleball facilities. Residents and professionals enjoy a resort-style athletic club equipped with strength and cardio zones, full-service locker rooms, private spa treatment rooms, sauna facilities, frost lockers for recovery, an indoor Pilates studio and a dedicated private training area. Turner Construction served as general contractor, overseeing a workforce of 1,796 skilled craft labourers from more than 21 countries who logged over 800,000 safe hours. Atlanta-based TVS led the architectural design in collaboration with Brock Hudgins Architects, ensuring the structure harmonises with Midtown’s evolving aesthetic.
Strategically located at the southwest corner of West Peachtree and 12th Streets, 1072 West Peachtree connects seamlessly to Midtown’s attractions. Tenants and residents stand mere minutes from over 100 restaurants, bars and cafes, as well as Piedmont Park, Tech Square, Colony Square and The Plaza Midtown Shopping District—a 10-minute stroll away. This prime positioning enhances accessibility via walking, cycling and public transport, supporting Atlanta’s growth as a walkable urban hub.
Pre-leasing for residences and office spaces has generated strong interest, signalling confidence in the project’s appeal.
