Board-certified plastic surgeons honor the journeys of real survivors

LONE TREE, CO, September 06, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ — The Breast Center Park Meadows Cosmetic Surgery announced on Wednesday that the redesign of the website is now complete. Serving as both a world-class resource for breast reconstruction patients as well as the digital home for a practice recognized throughout the state, region and nation for its reconstruction outcomes, the custom website design focuses on the journey breast cancer patients take to heal and regain hope.

“Our patients are why we do what we do, and strive to provide the best experience possible,” said Dr. Christopher Williams, a board-certified plastic surgeon at The Breast Center Park Meadows Cosmetic Surgery. “Women facing breast cancer diagnosis must draw upon immense courage and strength. Our doctors and staff are honored to be part of the journeys of these women, which is why our new website is a celebration of survivors as well as a resource for options in breast reconstruction.”

Patients appear in videos and written testimonials throughout the website to share their stories of diagnosis, treatment, reconstruction, and healing. Before-and-after photos on the website demonstrate the results patients experience through the DIEP flap and other advanced reconstruction techniques.

Flap reconstruction involves the placement of the patient’s own tissue (autologous) to rebuild the breasts after mastectomy. The technique for DIEP (deep inferior epigastric perforator) involves removing excess skin and fat in the lower abdomen and transferring it (via microsurgery) to the breast reconstruction site.

The DIEP flap spares muscles and nerves, making it the optimal reconstruction option for many women. The procedure may be performed immediately after mastectomy, at a later date as part of a delayed or hybrid reconstruction plan, as a replacement option for prior reconstruction with breast implants, or after prophylactic removal of the breasts due to a family history of breast cancer.

Dr. Christopher Williams and Dr. Jeremy Williams at The Breast Center Park Meadows Cosmetic Surgery were among the first surgeons in the Rocky Mountain region to perform the DIEP flap. Today, they are leaders in this procedure, with a success rate of over 99 percent.

The recent addition of board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Miller to The Breast Center Park Meadows Cosmetic Surgery furthers the experience and specialized knowledge at the practice. Dr. Miller has extensive experience in the DIEP flap and other complex breast reconstruction surgeries, passing on this expertise to many surgeons as a professor and department chair at elite medical schools and cancer centers for nearly 30 years.

The board-certified plastic surgeons, clinical staff, and administrative team at The Breast Center Park Meadows Cosmetic Surgery all share a commitment to quality, compassionate care for patients undergoing breast reconstruction. The practice serves patients in and around Denver, all of Colorado, the Southwest region, and throughout the United States who have undergone mastectomy for breast cancer, as well as those who underwent preventive mastectomy due to genetic risk factors. The Breast Center Park Meadows Cosmetic Surgery is located at 7430 E. Park Meadows Drive, Suite 300 Lone Tree, CO 80124. Please call (303) 706-1100 or visit to schedule a consultation.
